Alan Romano, LCSW

Healing is not about fixing what’s broken, it’s about remembering what’s been lost and learning how to live differently with what’s been carried. Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside individuals, couples, and groups as they navigate the complexities of trauma, relationships, identity, grief, and the emotionally overwhelming nature of life in our current culture. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, rooted in the belief that real change happens when we are seen not just as the symptoms we present with, but as people with stories, wounds and pain that matter.

In addition to my work as a psychedelic-assisted therapist, I have maintained a thriving talk therapy practice over the past five years, both in private practice and as a senior clinician within a group setting. I work with a diverse range of clients navigating anxiety, depression, Complex PTSD, relational wounds, and life transitions. Many of my clients are professionals, artists, caregivers, fellow clinicians, and most importantly humans who long for something more than symptom management. They long for something deeper, more relational, and more integrative. They long for wholeness in the fracturing of our society.

My sessions often weave trauma-informed care with systems thinking, narrative exploration, and emotional regulation. I support clients in slowing down, listening inward, and making meaning of their pain. Whether you are struggling in your relationship, moving through a loss, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply longing for a deeper connection to yourself and others, I’m here to help you uncover what’s already within you, your resilience, your clarity, your direction. My sessions are often focused on helping others remember that they are the medicine.
