My background specializes in assisting individuals to gain an understanding of one self, identify negative thought patterns and create new, healthy changes, while recognizing and building on one’s strengths.
The first step is to find a therapist that fits your needs. My passion and focus has been adults, the geriatric community, and adults with intellectual disabilities. I have guided several individuals through significant struggles like depression, anxiety, internal conflict, and have assisted individuals to understand their diagnoses and learn coping skills to manage their mental health symptoms, along with helping individuals work through trauma and substance issues.
My training and expertise are diverse which include: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, EMDR, motivational interviewing and strengths perspectives. My practice highly values a “person centered approach”, meaning a “power WITH not power OVER” concept. It is my role to help guide and collaborate with you to identify practical tools that will fit everyday life.
