Pamela Panitz LMHC

Pamela has over 15 years helping people with anxiety, depression, and addiction.  Negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors lead to a cycle of stress and self-doubt.    Pamela’s strengths are offering compassion, teaching realistic skills, and challenging clients for action.  Pamela has shared that her philosophy is best described by author Thoreau: “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”

We face many transitions in our lives.  Pamela has helped clients who are experiencing the stress of relocating, facing career change, experiencing chronic pain or illness, codependency, experiencing grief and loss, and addiction.  They move beyond the obstacles to find hope and take the steps towards productive change.

Pamela is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, graduated from Hunter College, CUNY with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and is also a Masters Level Addiction Professional. She creates a non-judgmental environment, that is safe, and supportive to help people to focus on their strengths, developing skills to manage life challenges and get unstuck. Her style is a mosaic of proven techniques (CBT, DBT), mindfulness, creativity, and 12 step philosophy, that helps clients gain the skills to manage their problems instead of their problems managing them.

“So grateful I found her. Pamela is extremely supportive, especially when I am having hard days. She is very encouraging and has been instrumental in helping me to manage my anxiety.” V.I. 4/27/2022
