Pamela Detlefsen, LMHC, MCAP
Pamela is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) who brings warmth, honesty, and a genuinely broad clinical toolkit to every client she works with. She has a deep understanding of how relationships shape us: the patterns we carry, the roles we learned to play, and the ways our histories show up in our present lives. That relational lens runs through everything she does, whether she is working with individuals, couples, or families.
Pamela works best with clients who are ready to do something different. She is forward-focused, direct, and invested in real progress, not just insight for its own sake. Drawing from a wide range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, she meets clients where they are and builds a path that actually fits them. She is also certified to treat both substance and process addictions, including gambling, shopping, and relationship addiction, for clients navigating those specific challenges.
Clients often describe time with Pamela as honest, grounding, and surprisingly real. She is the kind of therapist who will celebrate your wins, ask the hard questions, and genuinely root for you to get where you want to go.
