Child & Adolescent Therapy
It is not always easy to tell what is going on with kids and teens. Sometimes it shows up as moodiness, shutdown, anxiety, or behavior that feels out of character.
You might notice they are more withdrawn, more irritable, struggling socially, or having a harder time at school. Or you may just have a sense that something feels off.
Therapy gives them a space to talk, process, and make sense of what they are feeling in a way that fits their age and personality. It also gives you support in understanding what is going on and how to respond in a way that actually helps.
We work with children and teens navigating anxiety, emotional ups and downs, social challenges, school stress, life transitions, and behavioral concerns. Sessions are tailored to the individual and may include conversation, creative expression, skill-building, and family involvement when appropriate.
You might be noticing:
- They seem more anxious, withdrawn, or easily overwhelmed
- Their mood shifts quickly or feels harder to manage
- They are struggling with friendships, bullying, or social situations
- School has become more stressful or their performance has changed
- They have gone through a major change such as divorce, loss, or transition
- They are acting out or taking risks in ways that concern you
- They have a hard time talking about what they are feeling
