Kalpana Patel, RCSWI
Kalpana Patel is passionate about the creation of safe, trusting, and supportive environments for her clients. She has experience working with individuals that suffer from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar, substance use disorder, ADHD, anger, grief/loss, panic attacks, mood disorder, and low self-esteem. Above all else, her practice centers around a strong therapeutic alliance, where she and her clients are mutually engaged and invested in treatment outcomes.
Having worked within mental health and addiction, Kalpana brings substantive experience working across diverse demographics and age groups. Leveraging tools such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing, she has helped clients navigate through issues ranging from managing life transitions to processing major loss.
Kalpana’s therapeutic approach gives clients the platform to collaboratively problem-solve, seeking out real solutions that help combat life challenges. Her emphasis on feedback and support fosters a nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel empowered in their pursuit of personal growth and positive change. Most of all, she tailors her practice according to the needs of her clients by personalizing the techniques, methodologies, and approaches that she brings to the table.
Kalpana began her career as a social worker and was quickly diverted as major life transitions took hold. After navigating a personal journey through mental health and grief, she was pushed to reevaluate her own wants and needs, inspiring her to return to her roots in the field within which she had always found her passion. This experience proved to her that, no matter what, we hold the power to forge our own paths in pursuit of stronger, more sustained well-being.
