Susan McMillian, LMHC
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Susan is committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals and families navigating life's most challenging seasons. She specializes in working with first responders, trauma survivors, families, and individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and strengths-based interventions, Susan helps clients move from survival mode toward meaningful, sustainable healing.
Susan brings specialized experience working with law enforcement and first responders, understanding firsthand the unique pressures, culture, and emotional weight that comes with that line of work. As a Compassion EMDR certified clinician, she is trained to meet clients in the depths of their trauma and guide them toward real, lasting relief. Susan's approach is anything but one-size-fits-all. She shows up honest, direct, and genuinely invested in the people she works with, because she believes the therapeutic relationship itself is part of the healing. Whether she is working through trauma processing, cognitive restructuring, or simply helping someone finally feel heard, clients can expect a space that is safe, real, and built around who they actually are.
